Charles Leclercq and the Kodama team has developed a new 3D mouse aptly named the 3DGo Designed to enable users to interact in 3D whether you are located on your desktop, and augmented reality or mixed reality environments. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Kodama 3D mouse.
The Kodama 3D mouse uses a hollow dark which stores and recharges the mouse when not in use and already supports a wide variety of games and creative applications. Included with the 3DGo are three applications which take the form of Build Go, Campfire and Crayon 3D. The 3D mouse allows you to create organic 3D structures within applications by simply moving your mouse through the X, Y and Z axis. 3DGo supports Windows and Mac platforms and the included apps are available on the Android and iOS it is compatible with BLE connected devices.
The 3DGo 3D mouse is now available to back via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from £79 during the first week of launch. Saving 47 percent off the recommended retail price, which will take effect once the Kickstarter campaign concludes.
“We have been working on the 3DGo for the past two years, and now we are ready to deliver it to you. There are many potential risks involved with manufacturing processes, so in order to reduce uncertainty we have executed the majority of the development prior to the Kickstarter Launch.
We developed our own patent pending, non-optical tracking technology and made many iterations of the product design. We implemented DFM to optimize all parts for injection moulding, and finalizing the Bill of Materials of our electronics components. We delivered a first pre-manufactured batch and tested it with dozens of users to make sure the product meets all expectations of quality, robustness and user experience.”
