Those of you that have ever needed to clear up after a festival or multi-day event, will already know that most revellers tend to leave their tents to be disposed of by the festival team. Leaving an abundance of non-recyclable waste in the process. To stop this Kartent has developed a recyclable cardboard tent geared specifically to musical festivals and events.
Check out the video below to learn more about the KarTent, a temporary festival tent made entirely out of cardboard and 100 percent recyclable. “Every year a lot of stuff is left behind on festival camp sites after a festival has finished. This includes bottles and glasses, but also tents! Actually, to be more specific: 1 out of 4 people leave their tent behind on the various camp sites worldwide! People feel hungover and tired, and don’t feel like breaking up their tent and carry it along. As you can imagine this causes a lot of waste: In the Netherlands alone, where KarTent is based, this counts up to 25.000 tent every year.”
The cardboard tent is constructed using high quality cardboard with long wood fibres providing protection against water and humidity. To learn more about the awesome Kartent designs and how easy it is to recycle jump over to the official website by following the link below.
