Some of our readers might remember the JVC GC-XA1 ADIXXION action camera that was first unveiled back in June of this year. If you have been patiently waiting for it to arrive in stores you will be pleased to know that JVC has now started shipping the camera for $349.
The JVC GC-XA1 ADIXXION action camera has been designed to provide you with a rugged camera for capturing your outdoor activities and is capable of withstanding 2m drops, and 5m under water recording, as well as keeping out dust and grime. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
The JVC ADIXXION Action Camera is equipped with a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor, with a Super Wide 170 degree lens, capable of capturing full HD 1920×1080 at 30p, together with 5 megapixel still shots. JVC explains:
“Built-in Wi-Fi opens up a range of possibilities, including wireless connection to a smartphone that can be used to monitor the image – great for framing the shot when the camera is mounted on a helmet or other location where the user can’t see the LCD. Wi-Fi also makes it possible to send images live to a PC or mobile hotspot, or transfer data to a PC for sharing via social networks. What’s more, ADIXXION can stream live high definition video in real time to USTREAM without a PC. Android and iOS apps are available for free download, while Wi-Video PC software is supplied with the camera.”
Other features of the ADIXXION include a SD/SDHC/SDXC Card Slot, Digital Image Stabiliser, Time-Lapse REC features, and self timer.
