Chinese based JinXing Digital has this month introduced a new portable gaming station, which is equipped with Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system. The design of the new Android gaming console also looks a little familiar.
The new JinXing Digital JXD S5110 is equipped with a 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, with 3-point multitouch input, sporting a resolution of 800 x 480. Powered by a 1 GHz Amlogic M3 ARM Cortex-A9 processor, supported by 512MB of memory and graphics supplied by an ARM Mali 400 3D graphics processor.
The JinXing Digital JXD S5110 comes with options for either 4GB or 8GB of internal storage and is equipped with a microSDHC card slot to expand this further if required.
The gaming system also features a gravity sensor, and supports 802.22b/g/n WiFi, with a VGA camera positioned on the back of the device. Together with emulators for running Nintendo 64, GameBoy Advance, Sega MegaDrive, and other games as well as Android titles. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet.
