If you are interested in staying connected to your personal assistant whether it be, Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri or Google Home you may be interested in a new piece of hardware that functions independently of any Echo or Google home devices that provides the ability to contact your personal assistant. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about this new piece of hardware which is launched via Kickstarter this week with the aim of raising $30,000 over the next month to go into production.
Jinni allows you to access your personal assistant using your voice even when using your smartphone may not be appropriate, for home automation, playing music and ordering on the go. Use Okay Google for information, directions and controlling your phone or Siri to control your Apple devices and Jinni is capable of receiving calls and notifications. Jinni It is waterproof, magnetic and can be mounted or carried on almost any garment or in any vehicle.
The developers of Jinni explain more about its inspiration and features, “Jinni is a lot like a Sci-Fi Communicator that integrates Okay Google, Alexa, and Jinni (Android) – or Siri (iOS). Jinni allows you to experience all the great things about your favourite virtual assistants without having to pick favourites. It is the best of both worlds. Jinni is a small Bluetooth button that integrates the power of Alexa and Okay Google into one portable device”.
