A new Android mini PC has been unveiled this week in the form of the iStick A300 which comes supplied running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The low end iStick A300 Android mini PC is powered by a RK3168 dual-core processor, supported by 1GB of RAM for $89 or is available with a higher end RK3188 quad-core processor system available supported by 2GB of RAM, and fitted with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi for $189.
If you are not so concerned about wireless connectivity there is also a middle of the range version of the iStick A300 which is equipped with the higher end RK3188 quad-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM that comes without any Wi-Fi support.
The iStick A300 mini PC measures just 3.9 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches in size and has been specifically designed for digital signage or kiosk systems, but can be used for any system or project that you might require an Android mini PC to power.
Even though the iStick A300 is supplied with Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system installed, other Linux-based operating systems such as PicUntu can also be used together with custom ROMs if preferred.
