We have previously thought that the iPhone 6 release date would be either in late September or early October, although according to a recent report, Apple will launch the new iPhone in August.
According to the Economic Daily News, Apple will launch the 4.7 inch version of the iPhone 6 in August, and the 5.5 inch model will apparently go on sale in September.
Apple will apparently produce 80 million units of the iPhone 6 this year, although we heard previously that the 5.5 inch version will be available in lower quantities.
The iPhone 6 is expected to come with a number of upgrades over the existing iPhone 5S, this will include Apple’s new A8 64-bit mobile processor.
Apple are also expected to add in more RAM to the iPhone 6, and the handset will also come with Apple’s TouchID fingerprint sensor.
The camera on the next generation iPhone is said to get a number of upgrades, it may still be an 8 megapixel camera, although it will feature a new sensor with electronic image stabilization.
Apple iOS 8 will come with a wide range of new features, this will launch in the iPhone 6, and there will be a heavy focus on health and fitness tracking, which will tie in with the Apple iWatch.
We have no idea if the latest rumor on the iPhone 6 release date is correct, considering that Apple is launching two devices, it may end up launching them a month apart, with the 5.5 inch model landing in September.
