Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 at a press event next month, the event is said to take place on the 15th of March and now we have some details on the release date of these new Apple devices.
According to Mark Gurman from 9 to 5 Mac, both of these new devices will launch in Apple stores on the 18th of March and Apple may not offer these devices for pre-order, instead they will go straight to retail.
This would be a new way of doing things for Apple, as the company normally outs new devices up for pre-order on the Friday after an event and then starts selling them one or two weeks later.
The iPhone 5SE is rumored to come with many of the specifications of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the handset is said to come with a 4 inch display and with feature an Apple A9 processor, plus 2GB of RAM.
The device will get the same cameras as the current iPhones, which will include a 5 megapixel front facing camera for Selfies and a 12 megapixel rear camera. The device will also come with Touch ID and 3D Touch, it is rumored to come in a number of colors including a pink option which may either be bright pink or the same rose gold color of the iPhone 6S.
Apple’s new iPad Air is expected to get many of the hardware features on the iPad Pro, including the Apple A9X processor, support for the Apple Pencil, more RAM than the current model and a new rear camera which may also include a flash.
Storage is said to range from 16GB to 128GB and it will also come with 3D Touch and support Apple Pay. We are looking forward to seeing Apple’s new iPhone and iPad and will have more details about the devices next month.
