Apple released their colorful iPhone 5C earlier this week at a press event in Cupertino. The device is available for pre-orders in many countries including US, UK, Canada and a few more, starting today.
In Canada, many carriers have confirmed that they will carry the latest iPhone 5C including Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin and TELUS. Both iPhones will go on sale starting 20th of September, and only iPhone 5C can be pre-ordered via Apple Canada’s website, with a delivery time between September 20th to September 24th. Currently, iPhone 5S is not available for pre-orders so you have to visit an Apple Store or a carrier outlet nearby to grab a unit.
In Canada, iPhone 5C 16GB costs $599 for the unlocked version while 32GB iPhone 5C would set you back $719. If you are looking for a subsidized one, 16GB iPhone 5C cost $129 with a two-year contract while 32GB is available for $229 on-contract. Currently, TELUS is the only carrier listed.
In terms of specifications, iPhone 5C brings a similar set of specifications as the iPhone 5, with a 4-inch Retina display, A6 processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and runs iOS 7 out of the box. The iPhone 5C is available in five colors including red, yellow, white, pink and green.
