We are expecting Apple to officially announce the iPhone 5 at a special event on the 12th of September. We heard earlier today that the iPhone 5 is expected to go on sale in either the third or fourth week of September.
Now, according to the guys over at iMore, Apple will be putting the iPhone 5 up for pre-order on the same day it is announced, the 12th of September.
This would give Apple a week or ten days to have the device available for pre-order before it goes on sale, and this is what they have done in the past. We should have more details when the device is officially announced.
Expected Features of the iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 is rumored to feature a new slimmer design, which is expected to be a significant departure from the iPhone 4S. This new design is anticipated to be more ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the iPhone 5 is expected to incorporate Apple’s new Nano SIM card, which is smaller than the Micro SIM used in previous models. This change is likely aimed at saving space within the device, allowing for a larger battery or other components.
Another major upgrade is the larger 4-inch display, compared to the 3.5-inch display on the existing iPhone models. This larger screen is expected to provide a better viewing experience for users, making it more competitive with other smartphones on the market that already feature larger displays. The increased screen size will likely enhance the usability of apps, videos, and web browsing.
Anticipated Improvements and Innovations
In addition to the physical changes, the iPhone 5 is expected to come with several internal improvements. One of the most talked-about features is the potential inclusion of a more powerful processor, which would significantly enhance the device’s performance. This could mean faster app loading times, smoother multitasking, and overall better user experience.
There are also rumors about an improved camera system. While the iPhone 4S already boasts an 8-megapixel camera, the iPhone 5 might feature an even higher resolution camera, along with better low-light performance and faster shutter speeds. This would make the iPhone 5 an even more attractive option for photography enthusiasts.
Moreover, the iPhone 5 is expected to support 4G LTE connectivity, which would provide much faster internet speeds compared to the 3G connectivity available on the iPhone 4S. This would be a significant upgrade for users who rely on their smartphones for streaming, downloading, and other data-intensive activities.
