Apple has now released their fifth beta of iOS 11.4 and now we have some speed test videos of iOS 11.3.1 vs iOS 11.4 Beta 5.
In the videos we get top see both versions of iOS run on a range of different devices. These devices include the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. Will there be any speed improvements? Lets find out, first up is the iPhone 5S.
As we can see from the iPhone 5S video the handset running the new iOS 11.4 booted up slightly faster than the device running the older OS. There do not appear to be any major speed improvements in the various apps between the two. Next up is Apple’s iPhone 6.
The iPhone 6 running the current iOS 11.3.1 software booted up a few seconds quicker than the device running the new iOS 11.4 beta 5. There does not appear to be any difference between the two in the apps. Next we have the iPhone 6S.
The video of the iPhone 6S show that the handset running the iOS 11.3.1 booted up quite a bit faster than the handset running the new beta. There does not appear to be any speed improvements in the apps. Next up is Apple’s iPhone 7.
As we can see in the video the iPhone 7 running the iOS 11.3.1 booted up faster than the iPhone 7 running the iOS 11.4 beta 5. The two devices appear to be about the same in the apps. Finally we have the iPhone 8.
As we can see in the final video of the iPhone 8, the handset running the current iOS 11.3.1 software booted up slightly faster than the device with the new beta. There are no major speed improvements in the apps.
So it looks like there will be no major speed improvements with iOS 11.4, some devices appear to be actually slower whilst booting up, whilst others like the iPhone 5S are slightly faster. We are expecting Apple to release their iOS 11.4 software before the end of the month.
