Lots of company’s are making it easier to integrate digital assistant into your home, iDevices has just announced its latest device, the iDevices Instinct, a smart light switch with Amazon’s Alexa built in.
The iDevices Instinct is installed in your home like a normal light switch and it integrates Alexa into any room in your home. The device will work without the need for a hub and the company are releasing Android and iOS apps for the Instinct.
“The iDevices Instinct is a breakthrough in the smart home industry. It represents the next evolution in our extensive line of premium connected solutions,” said Chris Allen, president of iDevices. “The Instinct is one of many innovations to come from iDevices, forever changing the home as we know it.
The Instinct also comes with a motion detector and an ambient light sensor built in, it can also be used to manage connected devices like a normal Alexa enabled device would. The devices lighting function can also be controlled by other digital assistants like Apple’s Siri and the Google Assistant.
The new iDevices Instinct is being shown off at CES 2018 this week, the device will go on sale this year, as yet there are no details on how much it will cost and exactly when it will launch, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
