Network attached storage (NAS) manufacturer QNAP has today announced the availability of a new 9-bay storage solution in the form of the TS-932X NAS which comes equipped with Dual 10GbE SFP+ ports offering lightning fast connectivity. Available into configurations offering either the TS-932X-8G with 8GB DDR4 RAM which is expandable to 16GB or the TS-932X-2G with 2GB DDR4 RAM expandable to 16GB. The storage system has been designed to provide a budget friendly NAS solution designed to accommodate five 3.5-inch hard drives and four 2.5-inch SSDs.
“The TS-932X is a 9-bay NAS that is the physical size of a standard 4-bay/6-bay NAS and strikes a balance between storage capacity and performance,” said Dan Lin, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “Coupled with the advanced Qtier technology and 10GbE support, it provides a highly cost-efficient private cloud NAS solution.”
QNAP has equipped the storage solution with an intelligent QTS NAS operating system created to simplify NAS management with greater flexibility and efficiency. Offering users block-based snapshots, enabling comprehensive data protection and instant restoration, providing a modern way to effectively mitigate the threat of ransomware which can cripple small businesses if allowed to penetrate the company’s security defences.
The TS-932X can also be expanded Further to accommodate growing data needs by connecting up to two expansion enclosures in the form of the UX-800P and UX-500P. While its unused storage capacity can also be used to expand the capacity of other QNAP NAS by using Virtual JBOD.
