HTC has announced its figures for the last quarter and has seen a jump in its net sales profits of 33%, the majority of this is down to strong sales of handsets which run Google’s Android OS.
HTC are the current market leader with Android OS smartphones, and currently sell both the HTC Evo 4G and the Droid Incredible in the US, both of which are the leading smartphones on Sprint and Verizon respectively.
HTC are also doing well in Europe with the HTC Desire, Legend and Wildfire, and their move from Windows mobile handsets to mainly Google Android smartphones has helped them out considerably.
HTC will need to continue to develop high end Android smartphones if they want to stay ahead of the competition, with the Motorola Droid X and Droid 2 coming out it will be interesting to see what HTC has up their sleeve.
