HTC are holding a press event today where they will unveil some new Android smartphones, one of those will be the HTC One A9 which was previously known as the HTC Aero.
The new One A9 has recently appeared in the AnTuTu benchmarks and this has confirmed some more specifications on the handset.
Display and Performance
The handset will come with a 5 inch display that will feature a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, providing users with a crisp and clear viewing experience. This makes it ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The display is expected to offer vibrant colors and good visibility even under direct sunlight.
Under the hood, the HTC One A9 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor. This octa-core processor is designed to deliver smooth performance and efficient multitasking. Whether you are running multiple apps simultaneously or playing graphics-intensive games, the Snapdragon 620 is expected to handle it with ease.
Memory and Storage
Other specifications on the new One A9 will include 3GB of RAM, which should be more than sufficient for most users’ needs. The ample RAM will ensure that the device runs smoothly without any lag, even when switching between multiple applications. The Adreno 405 GPU will handle the graphics, providing a good gaming experience with decent frame rates.
In terms of storage, the HTC One A9 will come with 32GB of built-in storage. This should provide plenty of space for your apps, photos, videos, and other files. Additionally, it is likely that the device will support expandable storage via a microSD card, allowing users to add more storage if needed.
Camera and Additional Features
On the front of the new HTC One A9, there is a 5 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This front-facing camera is expected to perform well in various lighting conditions, making it suitable for capturing high-quality selfies and engaging in clear video chats.
On the back of the device, there is a 13 megapixel camera for photos and videos. This rear camera is expected to come with various features such as autofocus, LED flash, and possibly optical image stabilization (OIS) to help reduce blur in photos and videos. The camera should be capable of capturing detailed and vibrant images, making it a good choice for photography enthusiasts.
The handset will also feature a fingerprint sensor, which will provide an added layer of security. This sensor will allow users to unlock their device quickly and securely, as well as authorize payments and access secure apps.
Software and Availability
The device will come with Android 6.0 Lollipop out of the box. This version of Android brings several improvements and new features, including better battery management with Doze mode, enhanced app permissions, and a more intuitive user interface. Users can expect a smooth and user-friendly experience with Android 6.0 Lollipop.
The HTC One A9 is expected to go on sale early next month. With its combination of a high-resolution display, powerful processor, ample memory, and advanced camera features, the One A9 is poised to be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market. We will have more details about this new smartphone from HTC when it is made official later today.
