A new password manager has been launched via Kickstarter this week in the form of the Hoplite Key password manager, created to keep all your passwords and associated data (URL, login, notes…) into its internal memory. Every time you save passwords and associated data to the Hoplite Key, they all are encrypted using military-grade AES-256-CBC algorithm, then re-encrypted using field-proven and ultra fast ChaCha20 algorithm. Watch the demonstration video below for an overview of what you can expect from the encryption and security of the Hoplite Key.
Features that set the Hoplite Key password manager apart from others currently on the market :
– Secure: you and only you can access to your passwords. Hoplite is not connected to any network and does not use cloud technology, so data can’t leak. Every single bit of data is stored into the hardware device and secured with military-grade encryption.
– Easy to use: plug your Hoplite to your computer or handheld device, start companion application then enter your master password. Nothing more to do, you get access to all your precious data.
– Reliable: all data are stored into Hoplite memories, so memories must be really robust. Thus, we choose the most reliable memory technology we could find, and we doubled the memories to have a backup. Casing is armored and waterproof.
– Beautiful: crypto devices do not need to be ugly. We designed a little, handy, light and extremely resistant casing while focusing on its attractiveness. Hoplite is used all day long, so it must be nice to fit on your desktop.
The Hoplite Key password manager is now available via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from €59 or roughly £53, with worldwide delivery expected to commence sometime during March 2020.
