Himax has just announced their latest creation a USB 3.0 Pico Projector but unfortunately in their wisdom have not released any photo’s we can show you, at the moment which is a shame.
However the new pico porjector is equipped with a USB 3.0 port an the chip inside the projector is an ET12U320A from Evolution Technology Corporation allowing for video at a data transfer rate which is 10 times faster than the older USB 2.0 format providing much smoother graphics.
It uses a LCOS microdisplay from Himax Display and has a resolution of 800 x 600, and using the new USB 3.0 port can be powered through devices such as desktops or laptops as manufactures start to upgrade their ports to USB 3.0.
