The LG G5 is expected to be made official at LG’s MWC 2016 press conference on the 21st of February, so we thought it was time for a round up of the rumored specifications on the new LG G5.
The handset is expected to come with a 5.6 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the device will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of included storage, the device will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
On top of that there will be a microSD card slot for extra storage and the device is expected to come with high end cameras on the front and back. The front camera will come with 8 megapixels and it has been designed for Selfies and video chat.
The rear camera is said to feature a 20 megapixel 1/2 inch sensor and will be capable of recording Ultra HD video in 4K, the device will also come with WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, GPS and a fingerprint sensor.
The design of the handset is said to be significantly different than that of the LG G4, the company will be ditching the leather backs of the G4 for an all metal design on the new G5. What is also interesting about the handset that it is said to come with a user replaceable battery, this is something we have seen less off on flagship devices over the last few years.
We will have full details on LG’s new flagship Android smartphone when it is made official at Mobile World Congress later this month.
