Samsung is in the middle of a worldwide recall of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone and the company recently started it exchange program in the US.
The company has now revealed that it has already exchanged about half of the Note 7 devices that were sold in the US, it also revealed that 90% of people exchanged their device for the new Note 7.
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced today that about half of all recalled Galaxy Note7 phones sold in the U.S. have been exchanged through Samsung’s voluntary recall. Additionally, 90 percent of Galaxy Note7 owners have been opting to receive the new Galaxy Note7 since the phones became widely available on Wednesday, September 21..
Samsung has recalled around 2.5 million units of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone around the world after some units of the device caught fire due to battery problems.
