Habey USA has this week launched its new BIS-6630 fanless Cedar Trail embedded system, which is equipped with either an Intel Atom N2800 (1.83 GHz) or D2700 (2.13 GHz), depending on your preferences.
Measuring just 7.5 x 7.5 x 2.5 inches, the new BIS-6630 fanless small form factor PC is equipped with 6 x USB ports, 6 x COM ports, a VGA port, a DVI-D port, and support for a 2.5-inch SATA drive with the option to use mSATA. Together with connectivity via Gigabit Ethernet, one SIM socket for 3G/4G connectivity, and WiFi via two Mini-PCIe slots, using just 12w of power.
Comprehensive Connectivity and Display Options
Other features include both DVI-D and VGA display options for a more secured connection, while displaying up to 1920×1080 on screen resolution. Internal 18-bit LVDS at up to 1366 x 768 resolution and HD Audio ensure that the BIS-6630 can handle a variety of display needs. This makes it ideal for applications that require high-quality visuals, such as digital signage and point-of-sale systems. Versatile Operating System Support
The new Habey USA BIS-6630 will also support Windows 7 Embedded, Windows 7, Meego, and future Linux systems. This wide range of operating system compatibility ensures that the BIS-6630 can be integrated into various environments and applications. Whether you are running a commercial operation or an industrial setup, the BIS-6630 offers the flexibility needed to meet your specific requirements.
Habey USA has designed the new system for “digital signage, building automation, NVR, point-of-sales, and other embedded and industrial applications.” This versatility is further enhanced by the system’s robust build and fanless design, which reduces maintenance needs and increases reliability in harsh environments.
Energy Efficiency and Performance
One of the standout features of the BIS-6630 is its energy efficiency. Using just 12 watts of power, this embedded system is designed to deliver high performance while keeping energy consumption low. This makes it an excellent choice for applications where power efficiency is crucial, such as remote installations or locations with limited power availability.
The choice between the Intel Atom N2800 and D2700 processors allows users to select the level of performance that best suits their needs. The N2800, with its 1.83 GHz clock speed, offers a balance of performance and energy efficiency, while the D2700, at 2.13 GHz, provides a bit more processing power for more demanding applications.
In summary, the Habey USA BIS-6630 fanless embedded system is a versatile, energy-efficient, and robust solution for a wide range of applications. Its compact size, comprehensive connectivity options, and support for multiple operating systems make it an ideal choice for digital signage, building automation, NVR, point-of-sales, and other embedded and industrial applications.
