Yesterday the Chronic Dev Team were due to launch the Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 jailbreak for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, unfortunately it has now been delayed, because of the recent release of Limera1n.
The Chronic Dev team have decided to delay the release, because the Limera1n jailbreak uses a different exploit that the SHatter exploit that was going to be used in Greeenpois0n.
If the Chronic Dev Team had released Greenpois0n using the SHatter exploit, Apple would have a chance to patch it, and the LimeRa1n exploit, but by holding off they are saving the SHatter exploit for a future date, which makes it better for the jailbreaking community.
Instead the Chronic Dev Team are working on Greenpois0n using the same exploit that GeoHot has used in Limera1n, you can see what they had to say about his release below.
Thanks to the irresponsible antics of geohot, we will have to delay the release of greenpois0n (new ETA = as soon as possible), so that we have time to clean up his little mess and integrate the exploit he uses in limera1n into greenpois0n. This way, we can save SHAtter for future devices that may still be vulnerable to it.
We know that this is not what some people want to hear, but due to geohot needing to feed his ego (as usual) and revealing his limera1n exploit, we do not have any other responsible options.
