Google has announced via its Google Mobile Blog new social updates to a range of its services including Google Maps, Places, Hotpot and Latitude. You can now Tweet your hotpot ratings within Google Maps for Android share your review with even more people.
The update now allows you to share your ratings and reviews with your followers on Twitter directly from your Android powered device. To use the new service while rating on the go using our Google’s rating widget, just choose to ‘Post review to Twitter’ and connect to your Twitter account.
Updates to check-ins and pings now allow you to ping a nearby friend you have stopped on maps rather than have to email, text or call them to meet. Once pinged your friend will then see a notification on their Android smartphone asking them to check in to a place and once the have you receive a notification updating you.
All the new features are included in Google Maps 5.2 for Android which is now available from the Android Market. For more information on the new Twitter links and other social updates to Android Google Apps visit the Google Mobile Blog
