It was reported yesterday Android 4.3 update for HTC One is rolling out in various parts of Europe. Surprisingly, the update comes with the Sense 5.5 UI while the HTC One in the US and Canada were upgraded to Android 4.3 with Sense 5 UI. Now, in addition to Sense 5.5, HTC One owners can get up to 25GB of free Google Drive storage for two years after updating their device to Sense 5.5. The offer was first introduced with HTC One Max that comes with 50GB free Google Drive storage.
Yes, you’re reading it right. This will make the total free Google Drive storage to 40 GB, after including the normal 15GB allowance with your Google account. To get the free storage, all you have to do is update your device to Sense 5.5 UI and launch the Google Drive application. Just tap on the “Redeem” button and follow the on-screen instructions to claim your free 25GB storage.
Unfortunately, the offer is not available for the developer edition handset because of its unlocked bootloader. You cannot claim the offer even if you unlocked your bootloader. However, re-locking it will allow you to redeem the offer. In addition, the offer must be redeemed before 1st January, 2016. You’ll be able to get the free storage for two years, starting from the date you redeem the offer.
