While we see a new Google Nexus 5 rumor every day, there’s still no word from Google about the launch of this not-so-mysterious handset. We’ve seen multiple press renders of the handset as well as its appearance on the Google Play Store and in the inventory system of various retailers. If these weren’t enough for you, the folks at Wind Mobile posted a pre-registration page, which was taken down, revealing the complete specifications of the handset.
Now, evleaks posted another render of the Google Nexus 5 with a caption saying, “Coming to Sprint.” Last year Google Nexus 4 was available of few US carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile except T-Mobile, but it seems things are about to change as the prolific leaker claims that it’s heading to Sprint.
The purported handset is rumored to feature a 4.95-inch display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it’s powered by Snapdragon 800 CPU with a clock speed of 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, 2,300 mAh battery, 8MP camera with optical image stabilization, 1.3MP front-facing camera with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
There’s a lot of speculation going on about the launch of the alleged handset. Rumors suggest that the handset will see the daylight on 31st of October while @evleaks predicted it to be November 1st, which could be true considering the past track record of the leakster.
We’ll update you as soon as any information comes up about the launch of the Google Nexus 5.
