In its continual quest to keep improving its services Google has now added a EV charging stations to its Google Maps with the aim to help supporting environmentally-friendly cars through initiatives such as RechargeIT.
Google has now added the EV Charging Stations included in the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) GeoEVSE Forum which has been designed to help construct a database providing EV users with a network of public charging stations to give EV drivers alternatives to home charging and can extend their driving range.
As more and more EV charging stations are added to the MREL database they will then be added by Google to its Google Maps make it even easier to now drop the gas guzzlers and turn a little more green.
To find the EV stations in a specifica are on Google maps. simply search for “ev charging station” plus the appropriate area, for example, “ev charging station near mountain view ca.”
