I continue to be insanely jealous of the fast fiber optic Internet speeds that subscribers to Google Fiber in Kansas City are able to get. Served areas can get both Internet service and TV service along with some of the fastest Internet connectivity in the country. Even within Kansas City, Google was very selective with what neighborhoods were allowed to subscribe to Google Fiber.
Google has announced that it is rolling the service out to five more neighborhoods within Kansas City, Kansas. These neighborhoods will be able to get service early next year with deadlines ranging from January 31 to March 7 for residents to pick out and sign up for Google Fiber packages. Google says that to save money customers in areas who have the chance to get service now and don’t register might have to wait as long as a year to sign up again.
The five new neighborhoods include Piper Schools , Delaware Ridge, Painted Hills, Open Door and Arrowhead. The neighborhoods are in order from the earliest deadline to the latest. Google plans to continue rolling out its service in the Kansas City area throughout 2013.
