Glympse is an app that has been around for a long time now that lets you share your location data on a live map with friends so they can find you. I guess the idea is to allow them to meet up with you for hangouts and the like. A new app has landed called Glympse Express that is very similar and is designed to allow you to share location data with other apps.
Glympse Express lets you cut and paste links into other apps like Facebook Messenger, Gmail, Twitter, and more. Glympse Express can also send location data via SMS or email to people in your contact book. The links lead to a real-time map of where you are. Like the main Glympse app, Express makes it easy for people to keep up with you when you are traveling.
The location data can be shared for the amount of time specified when you share it. Glympse Express launched on October 9 and is 2.7MB in size. The current version is 1.0 and it requires Android 2.3 or higher to operate. It is on Google Play for Android users to download now.
