The team of designers at Stopmotion Engineering based in Milan Italy has created a new armature specifically designed stop motion animation, providing the first armature for professional constructed from carbon fibre. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the extremely light and yet strong armature built using aeronautical materials and Italian design.
The George armature is now available to back via Kickstartern with pledges starting from €119 for the 25cm or 10 inch version of George. If all goes well world wide shipping is expected to start during October 2018. “Great attention has also been paid to the use of innovative solutions for the wider use of the reinforcement. Of particular note is the fastening system used for the limbs and the neck, which allows you to create different hands, feet and heads, while maintaining the same body. The limb is easily removed and replaced with another. The quick coupling is made by CNC machining in stainless steel. The upper torso is made entirely of carbon and was created in three different versions: a base, an improved reinforced section for shoulder joints and another with a special dynamic neck”
