Patriot Memory has created a new external hard disk case called the Gauntlet Node, that can help you easily create wireless storage from any 2.5-inch HDD or SSD drive.
Features of the Gauntlet Node wireless storage include 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, 1 x USB 3.0 port, 1 x internal SATA interface, and WPA security.
The Gauntlet Node wireless storage external hard drive caddy can create upto 1TB of data storage, which is then available via either tablets, smartphones, laptops or desktops computers
The Gauntlet Node is capable of producing 150 Mb/s transfer rates, and is fitted with a lithium-ion battery, that once charged will provide up to 5.5 hours of continuous streaming.Patriot Memory explains:
“Using Gauntlet Connect, available through Google Play, Amazon App Store, and iTunes, the Gauntlet Node is capable of sharing or streaming to 8 connected devices for excellent on the go productivity or entertainment. Powered by a lithium ion battery, the Gauntlet Node can stream movies, music, and photos or transfer data.”
The Gauntlet Node is now available in the US for around $100, but information on worldwide availability pricing is on its way says Patriot.
