Garmin has today announced a new addition to their range with the unveiling of their first outdoor GPS watch in the form of the new Garmin Fenix watch.
Garmin has designed their new Fenix watch to provide outdoor enthusiasts with comprehensive navigation and tracking features, together with trip information to guide them whilst off the beaten track.
The Garmin Fenix is equipped with ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass) to provide live data on headings, elevation and weather changes, all enclosed in a rugged case with scratch resistant display. Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales explains:
“fenix packs Garmin’s leading and trusted outdoor technology into a robust, wrist-worn GPS watch that outdoorsmen can rely on,”-“Being able to go hands free while still having access to Garmin’s precise and accurate information on weather, elevation and position provides adventurers the confidence and peace of mind to take their outdoor activities even further off-trail.”
The Garmin Fenix outdoor watch will be arriving in stores during the fall of this year and will be retailing for around $400.
