Satechi has this week unveiled a new front facing iMac Hub which can be used with any of this year’s iMac systems even the recently launched iMac Pro which is now available to purchase with prices starting at around $5, 000. The aluminium USB type C iMac Hub is available in both silver and space grey and neatly clips to the bottom of your iMac screen allowing you to access the USB ports.
Simply, plug into one of your iMac’s Thunderbolt 3 port and use the adjustable knob to fasten the hub to the bottom of your desktop computer. With no additional drivers or installation needed, the Satechi Aluminum Type-C Clamp Hub Pro helps to simplify your desk space while its sleek, brushed aluminum finish complements your Apple accessories.
In total the Satechi iMac hub adds a USB-C port (data only), 3 x USB 3.0 ports (up to 5Gb/s) and Micro/SD card reader and is compatible with 2017 iMac Pro, iMac Retina 4K and 27-Inch iMac 5K. The Satechi iMac hub is now available to preorder priced at $50 and will start shipping out to customers on January 5th, 2018.
