If you enjoy sharing your files and photos with friends and family but sometimes feel that the main social networks online might not be the best place to upload your personal photos or files. A new Mac app called Frenzy, might be able to help, by transforming your Dropbox account into a private social network that you can control.
Frenzy is a personal social network which is created inside your local Dropbox folder, with a chat system and some clever file- and link-catching technology. Frenzy has been designed from the ground up to be for just you and and your close friends with all data stored inside your Dropbox folder.
Frenzy has been created as a file based social network to leverages the shared folders feature of Dropbox and bring you a Twitter like stream of feed items. Its been developed by Aptonic Software creators of the Mac app Dropzone, but is not available from the Mac App Store only as a free download from the Frenzy App website.
