Earlier this month Filipe Fortes creators of the Flipboard the social-network aggregation magazine styled application announced that they had launched a new service that allowed e-commerce sites to create their very own magazine style brochure to advertise their wares and enable readers to purchase items they fancy with a direct link to the site.
In addition to this Flipboard also rolled out updates to their iOS application which brought with it enhanced performance and new user interface features. Now this week Flipboard has announced the launch of their app for devices running Microsoft’s latest Windows 8.1 operating system.
The new Flipboard Windows 8.1 application supports Windows’ snap feature, that allows you to use Flipboard side-by-side with other programs on your Windows 8.1 device. As well as being tailored to use the Windows 8.1 gesture controls perfectly for easy navigation throughout the application.
