Today Spotify has made their first Artist Apps live for Quincy Jones, Tiësto, Rancid and Disturbed, which have been designed to make it easier for Spotify users to find and engage with their preferred artists.
The new Spotify Artisit Apps can be installed in the same way as other Spotify applications, directly from the Spotify desktop software client.
The new Spotify Artist Apps have been created to enable artists to categorise and curate specific tracks and playlists from Spotify’s huge library of tracks. Together with extras, such as photos, artwork, interviews and behind the scenes updates.
Spotify is already working with artists and bands to create an launch more Artist Apps in the coming months, saying that Spotify would like to “partner with artists to create the best possible experience for [its] users.”
