Apple has today confirmed in a communication that the highly anticipated HomeKit enabled hardware will be launching and available to purchase from stores as early as next month.
To re-cap HomeKit is an framework developed by Apple to by used with its latest iOS 8 mobile operating system for communicating with and controlling connected accessories throughout a user’s home.
The introduction of the new HomeKit devices will enable developed to provide third-party access to Apple’s personal assistant, Siri. Enabling user of HomeKit device to use Siri to both control them and communicate with. Developers can enable owners to discover HomeKit accessories in their home, allowing them to configure, or create actions for them as well as group actions together and trigger them using Siri. Apple explained in the statement sent to the Tech Crunch website :
“HomeKit has been available for just a few months and we already have dozens of partners who have committed to bringing HomeKit accessories to market and we’re looking forward to the first ones coming next month.”
