Google has announced its first Android One smartphones in India, the first devices will be sold through Karbonn, Cromax ans Spice.
The first Android One devices will come with a 4.5 inch display and will feature a quad core 1.3GHz processor plus 1GB of RAM, the devices will also come with a microSD card slot, FM Radios and dual SIM card slots.
The first Android One smartphones in India will retail for 6399 rupees, which is around $105 at the current exchange rate. The handsets will come with a stock version of Android that does not have any modifications from the manufacturers.
The Android One devices will work in a similar way to Google Play Editions and also Google Nexus devices, this will allow Google to push out software updates to the devices, without waiting for the manufacturers.
Google has plans to roll out Android One to other countries, they will be launching devices in a range of countries in Southeast Asis which include Indonesia and the Philippines.
