Faraday Future has been besieged with problems seemingly from the start of its ambitions plans to build an EV that would rival Tesla. The car on paper would certainly do that, but in reality the company has seen lots of executives leave and its plans for the factory in Las Vegas have been drastically scaled back due to money issues.
Originally the factory was planned to be about 3 million square feet. That plan has now been scaled back to about 650,000 square feet. Nevada plans to continue building out sewers, roads, and water lines to the industrial park where Faraday plans its factory build stating that the plans for the Apex Industrial Park are larger than Faraday alone.
Faraday continues to claim that its FF 91 will be on the market by 2018 and is expected to cost less than $300,000. North Las Vegas city manager Dr. Qing Lui says that the plant will be finished by the end of August 2017.
