Apple has just released their first beta of iOS 12.1 and the software has revealed some details about Apple’s new iPad Pro models
We previously heard a rumor that Apple are working on two new iPad Pro tablets, both devices are said to come with Apple’s Face ID.
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith has discovered references to Face ID in landscape mode for iOS iOS 12.1.
Face ID has support for landscape orientation (presumably for iPad only), and iOS 12.1 seems to care a lot more about whether an external display is connected (perhaps due to iPad USB-C rumors; it won’t have the Lighting HDMI adapter as an intermediary for video-out)

Apple were expected to announce their new iPads at their iPhone XS event, this did not happen and we are expecting to see the new devices next month. The two new iPad Pro models are rumored to be unveiled at an Apple press event in October.
Apple is also expected to introduce some new Macs at the event, this will include a new iMac and possibly a new Mac Mini. As soon as we get some more details about exactly what Apple has planned, we will let you guys know.
