During SIGGRAPH 2017 this week NVIDIA has announced it is currently in the process of working with a number of partners to create external graphics enclosures, with the aim of providing extra power and increased portability for mobile users.
NVIDIA is currently developing external graphics card enclosures for the new Titan Xp and Quadro graphics cards which were recently unveiled. Providing external solutions enabling notebooks to enjoy additional graphics processing when required for video editing, interactive rendering, VR content creation and gaming.
The new external graphics card enclosures are expected to be equipped with Thunderbolt 3 connections providing high bandwidth and NVIDIA is currently working with the likes of Sonnet, Magma, Akiti, and Bizon.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
