Displays for computers today serve all sorts of needs. We use them to view the content we want to see online and watch movies. They are also used to give people in retail and commercial areas information as a digital sign. A company called Evoluce has unveiled a cool new digital screen that is perfect for digital signage.
The screen is called the I-Voluce and it is a big 46-inch unit with gesture control. The screen can be controlled with gestures from 4 meters away. The screen is designed to connect with a Windows 7 computer and will allow control of all sorts of Windows apps and software using gestures.
The company isn’t forthcoming with supported gestures, but presumably, you can navigate the software on the computer using your hands instead of a mouse and choose from selections on a list with gestures. The screen has full HD resolution and has a VESA mount plate on the back. The front glass is scratch-resistant and it uses a NEC P461 panel inside. Pricing is unknown at this time.
