Eizo has been making high-end monitors for computer users for many years. The company has a line of monitors aimed at PC gamers that offer performance and lots of color reproduction. Eizo also has a full line of monitors aimed at professional graphics folks and even the medical field. The company has rolled out a new 27-inch screen called the CG277.
This new monitor is aimed at the professional graphics person that needs the most accurate color they can get. The monitor has a built-in sensor housed on the monitor that swings onto the screen for color calibration. The display uses a 27-inch wide-gamut IPs screen that can show 99% of the Adobe RGB spectrum.
The monitor is LED backlit and has a 10-bit display allowing it to reproduce over a billion colors at once. Connectivity includes DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D. The screen has a pair of upstream USB ports and a pair of downstream USB ports. The stand has 25-degrees of tile, 344-degrees of swivel, supports portrait mode, and has 151.5mm height adjustment. Pricing for the monitor is unannounced, but it is shipping now. A very similar CX271 that lacks the calibration sensor built-in is also available.
