Dride Connected Dashcam

Dride based in San Francisco California has launched a new Kickstarter campaign to raise the hundred thousand dollars the team requires to take their new Drive connected dashcam into production.

The connected dashcam comes complete with its own companion applications allowing you to enhance the safety of your driving as well as protect you from dangerous distractions.Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about Dride and its safety features.

Hi! We’re a bunch of car fanatics who believe that the vehicles we are driving are unnecessarily primitive and downright dangerous! We’ve designed Dride to change that, and with it, the way we drive. Just as the time when no-one used seat belts rapidly faded we believe that the era of unintelligent cars should be a distant memory, and we are here to bring it about sooner than anyone expects.

Dride is our revolutionary new product built to enhance every aspect of your driving, protect you from dangerous mobile distractions, and build a community around driving smartly and safely. Dride is a dashcam, but does so much more. It comes with a real time safety alert system, navigation and voice-to-text technology. You can also build your own driving apps and make Dride as intelligent as you are. We made it possible for you to drive smart, now we need your help to share it with the world.

Dride cloud is a cloud DVR for drivers to save their footage and share this footage with our world-wide driving community while storing GPS locations and license plate numbers. With the use of Dride Cloud, reckless drivers will be encouraged to drive more responsibly, since they know that their dangerous speed or reckless actions will be documented and reported.

A community, a cloud, a hands-free driving device and a dashcam all in one. We’re a group of geeks who love to create cool products, we’ve focused on the car industry because we believe it’s the one place we can bring the most value to. This industry is controlled by the car manufacturers that have traditionally produced closed systems that can’t receive updates once they’ve left the factory. This is a recipe for obsolescence. Dride is our vision of what a car should be: Natural and intuitive voice controls, a driving companion watching the road and alerting you if you’re not paying attention, and empowering the driving community to force drivers to take responsibility for their driving.
