If you are searching for a controller to help manage your web players such as Netflix, Amazon, Plex or more you may be interested in the new DIY USB remote kit created by Jacob Lusco an IT professional who enjoys building electronics devices. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the USB remote designed specifically for web players.
DIY kits are now available priced from $15 with delivery expected to take place throughout the United States during April 2019. Jacob explains a little more about the inspiration behind the DIY and USB remote and its construction.
“This project is something I came up with as a media fan. I love watching movies and shows and use all major streaming services. When watching on a PC I have always hated not being able to just use a remote when I wanted to move through a menu or pause or whatever action was needed. I came up with this design and created a PCB to put it all together in a small form factor that can fit in a laptop bag. This way it can be easy to watch movies when out without needing to remember keyboard shortcuts. The only challenges I can foresee would be with shipping the components.”
