Makers and gamers considering building their own Raspberry Pi games console may be interested in a new system created by “Jules1050” in the form of the Super Wood entertainment system powered by none other than a pie mini PC.
“I proudly present my fully working wooden Super Nintendo Entertainment Systems. Before I posted my manual how to build a wooden Super Nintendo Gamepad and now it is time to show you how to build the console. The wooden case is made out of multiple sheets of plywood, stacked and glued together. In the following steps I will show you how to prepare the files for lasercutting, what electronics you need, how to join everything and how to glaze and finish the console.”
If you are interested in building your very own wooden games console jump over to the official Instructables website where Jules1050 has Kindly provided full instructions, parts list and tools required to create the Raspberry Pi games console. A laser cutter has been used for the project to help cut the sheets of wood to the required sizes to create the Super Nintendo inspired casing.
