I am not the tailgating sort of person when it comes to sports. You can see more at home on the TV. Apparently, there are some out there that want to hear the crowd roar, but want to watch on TV at the same time. For this sort of person dish Network has the Tailgater allowing you to hit the stadium and then watch in the parking lot. That sounds really weird to me.
The Tailgater looks like a little grill, but inside is a satellite dish that will alight itself automatically so you can watch the game. You will need your own TV and a Dish ViP 211k HD tuner to actually see the game. You also have to have line of sight to the southern sky.
The Tailgater sells for $350 and I am not sure if that includes the receiver. I assume it’s the Tailgater only. You will need a subscription that can be month-to-month or under contract. The no contract plan is $7 more per month than the contract rate.
