Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal have partnered with Open Bionics to create a range of prosthetic arms inspired by the world of the Deus Ex game, within which human augmentation is just an everyday occurrence.
Open BionicsIs now currently developing two prosthetic arms with one based on Adam Jensen, the hero of Mankind Divided, and the other from the wider Deus Ex universe. The Open Bionics development team has already created prosthetic arms inspired by Iron Man, Frozen and Star Wars.
Check out the video below to learn more about the technology being used to create these new prosthetic arms which will hopefully be available as open source designs enabling people interested to be able to 3D printer the components themselves. The team hopes to make royalty free designs available to everyone sometime next year.
