At SXSW this week Dell has been showcasing it new Dell XPS 18 all-in-one system which is a massive 18 inch tablet device that can also be used as a desktop computer.
The Dell XPS 18 is fitted with a 18.4 inch screen sporting a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and features a touchscreen display with 10-point touch input.
On the rear of the Dell XPS 18 is an integrated kickstand to easily transform the larger than life tablet into a desktop system, running Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system.
The Dell XPS 18 will be powered by a choice of Intel’s Core i3, i5, and i7 processors and a base unit will be available with a Pentium 2117U processor for $899, with options for all processor to be supported by up to 8GB or RAM.
The new Dell XPS 18 tablet/desktop weighs in at 4.8lb, and has been designed to provide up to 5 hours of usage on a single battery charge, with storage available as either HDD or solid state disk (SSD).
