Dell first announced their new Dell Wyse cloud connect device as Project Ophelia and since then have developed the Android PC stick finally launching it this week for $129 after it successfully navigated its way through the FCC.
The Dell Wyse Cloud Connect Stick PC and cloud connect device has been designed to provide users with a small portable computer system that simply connects to your HDMI port of your large screen HDTV or similar display to provide a handy desktop system or convert your HDTV into a smart TV.
Dell has fitted their Wyse Cloud Connect system with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal flash storage all powered by a multi-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor running Google’s Android operating system and supporting 1080p Full-HD resolution.
Other features of the Dell Wyse Cloud Connect mini PC includes support for Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g/n wireless dual band connectivity and connections for micro USB and mini USB as well as a handy SD card slot for expanding its storage capacity when required and accessing files and media.
The Dell Wyse is also supplied running Dell’s virtualization and cloud software including Wyse Cloud Client Manager, support for VMWare, Citrix and Microsoft virtualization solutions, and PocketCloud personal cloud services.
