D-Link has launched a new line of routers this month, which provide a cloud storage feature and support speeds of up to 300 Mbps and 600 Mbps. The new routers come in the form of the Cloud Router 1200 ref: DIR-636L and Cloud Router 2000 ref:DIR-826L.
Both models come equipped with mydlink Cloud Services allowing you to control them via a smartphone application, together with a USB port which combines with the SharePort mobile app to allow you to share photos, music, and movie files via a range of connected devices.
Simply connect a USB drive to the mydlink Cloud Service and then share your media to other devices without taking up addition space on their hard drives. As well as controlling which visitors have access to your media and folders. Ken Loyd, director, consumer products, D-Link Systems, Inc. explains:
“In the past, routers have often been a „set it and forget it? kind of device,” -“Today consumers want to access and share their content from multiple devices such as smartphones and tablets. And now more than ever, it is vital to know who is connecting to your wireless network and what they are viewing. D-Link?s newest Cloud Routers enable consumers to easily share media as well as monitor what?s going on with the home network.”
Both D-Link Cloud Router models are now available to purchase, the 636L for $59.99, and the 826L for $99.99. You might also me interested in the D-Link MovieNite Plus streaming box.
