If you follow trucks at all, you know that the mid-size segment is booming right now. Ford is bringing the Raptor back to the US after an absence of many years and word is that the Ranger will get a Raptor model. Autoblog says that it know the Ranger Raptor is coming, we just don’t know when.
The Ranger Raptor is expected to use an EcoBoost engine of some ort, likely a turbo four or possibly the larger 2.7L EcoBoost six used in the F-150. Undoubtedly the Ranger Raptor will have all the suspension work you expect along with larger wheels and tires.
This all sounds fantastic, but we fear the price. Trucks used to be what you got if you needed cheap transportation, but even base models are breaking the bank today. The Ranger Raptor will probably be in the high $40,000 range.
